The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention just announced that fully vaccinated people can resume normal activities without a mask.

Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its guidelines for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All fully vaccinated people can resume activities they engaged in prior to the pandemic, without wearing a mask or social distancing, except where it is required by local/regional laws.

The guidelines specifically state that those fully vaccinated:

--can resume activities without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart

--if you travel within the United States, you do not need to get tested before or after travel, or self-quarantine after travel

--you do not need to get tested before leaving the United States, unless your destination requires it

--if you have been around someone who has COVID-19, you do not need to stay away from others or get tested, unless you have symptoms.

Dr Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC said in a statement today, "We have all longed for this moment when we can get back to some sense of normalcy."
