Children with asthma are at increased risk for a number of sleep problems, including trouble falling or staying asleep, and excessive daytime sleepiness.

Controller use in asthmatic children has been associated with improved sleep . . .  but do the results vary with the type of controller medication?

Here to discuss her observations about controller medication use and sleep problems in children with asthma is Michelle Garrison, MD. Dr Garrison is Acting Assistant Professor, Health Services Department, University of Washington, Seattle, and an Investigator at the Center for Child Health, Behavior, and Development at Seattle Children’s Research Institute
